Bihar Mandates Geo-Spatial Analytics for Infrastructure Projects Above Rs 50 Crore

Bihar's Chief Secretary Pratyaya Amrit has mandated the use of geo-spatial analytics from the Bihar Remote Sensing Application Centre (BIRSAC) for Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) of infrastructure projects costing Rs 50 crore or more. Departments must obtain BIRSAC's technical approval before financial sanction, paying 0.25% of the project cost for these services. A digital tool developed with BISAG-N will aid DPR preparation using PM Gati Shakti data, aiming to enhance planning, disaster management, and reduce project delays.
