PM Modi's Two-Day Israel Visit to Strengthen Strategic Partnership and Defence Ties

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is undertaking a two-day state visit to Israel on February 25-26, marking his second trip since 2017. The visit aims to upgrade bilateral ties to a "special strategic partnership," focusing on defence, security, trade, technology, and innovation. Modi will address the Israeli Knesset, meet Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Isaac Herzog, and discuss regional and global issues amid heightened West Asian tensions. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has proposed a "Hexagon of Alliances" including India to counter regional threats. The visit also highlights deepening cooperation in counter-terrorism and advanced defence technologies.
