Madhya Pradesh's Kuno National Park saw the birth of 12 cheetah cubs in 2025, though three did not survive. The park's total cheetah population reached 30, with 27 housed at Kuno and three at Gandhi Sagar Wildlife Sanctuary. Six cheetahs, including three cubs, died during the year. This follows the reintroduction of cheetahs from Namibia and South Africa starting in 2022, with plans for a third sanctuary at Nauradehi Wildlife Sanctuary.
