Agra police arrested a 22-year-old woman, Priyanka Varun, for allegedly burning the Manusmriti, a video of which went viral. Varun claims the video is three years old and was recently reposted. Police filed an FIR under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for disobedience of public servant orders and the IT Act, citing potential disturbance to social harmony and religious sentiments. She was released on bail.
