Several AAP Leaders Join Congress Ahead of Chandigarh Municipal Elections

Several Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders, including councillor Prem Lata, Ritu Chhabra, Kuldeep Kukki, Harjinder Baba, and Yankee Kalia, joined the Congress party in Chandigarh. Prem Lata alleged that AAP aided the BJP in winning the mayoral election by refusing an alliance with Congress and not acting against cross-voting councillors. Ritu Chhabra cited lack of support from AAP after her husband's death. Congress leaders expressed confidence in winning upcoming municipal elections, while BJP accused Congress of opportunistic politics.
