The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is facing criticism after using artwork by Japanese artist Hiroshi Nagai to promote deportation policies without his consent. The DHS shared an image of Nagai's serene beach scene on X, with text suggesting a peaceful America after "100 million deportations" and "no longer besieged by the third world." Nagai confirmed his work was used without permission. A DHS spokesperson stated the department will use all tools to keep Americans informed and "Make America Safe Again."
