
The Edavanakkad panchayat has prioritized the construction of a 1.5-kilometer tetrapod seawall, estimated at 55 crore, to combat severe sea erosion and tidal flooding. While 35 crore has been sanctioned, the remaining 20 crore requires mobilization through various government funds. The panchayat also identified combating drug abuse as a key priority, planning sustained campaigns and establishing sports facilities to engage youth.
