Centre Denies Political Clearance for Punjab CM Mann's UK and Israel Visit

The Union government has denied political clearance to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Industries Minister Sanjeev Arora for a planned visit to the United Kingdom and Israel in February aimed at attracting investments. The delegation, which included state officials, awaited clearance before finalizing dates. This is reportedly not the first time Mann has been denied such permission, with a similar denial occurring for a visit to Paris in August 2024. The Centre has not provided reasons for the current denial.
