Authorities in Sambhal have intensified security, deploying police and paramilitary forces for an upcoming anti-encroachment drive near a graveyard adjacent to the Shahi Jama Masjid. The revenue department, under heavy security, measured the graveyard land and identified 22 houses and shops allegedly encroaching on the plot. Notices will be issued to occupants, with action to follow based on legal review. Some encroachments are reportedly decades old.
