PMC Requests Feasibility Study for New Wakad-Shewalewadi Metro Corridor via Katraj

The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has requested MahaMetro to assess the feasibility of a new metro corridor from Wakad to Shewalewadi via Katraj, potentially extending to Khadakwasla. This follows calls for a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for a Hinjewadi-Khadakwasla route. PMC's Chief Engineer emphasized verifying the proposal within Pune's Comprehensive Mobility Plan before proceeding with site visits and DPR preparation. Metro Line 3, connecting Hinjewadi and Shivajinagar through Wakad, is expected to start operations in April.
