The Telangana Director of Medical Education issued show cause notices to 115 government doctors for prolonged unauthorised absence from various medical colleges and hospitals across the state. Following responses, 21 doctors have rejoined or will rejoin service, while 94 doctors, including some absent since 2013 or who never joined duty, faced termination orders. The affected doctors hold positions such as assistant and associate professors across multiple departments and institutions. Authorities have offered another chance for responses due to possible reasons like postings outside their assigned locations.
