He dismissed opposition BRS allegations of design deviation, asserting the Congress is following the previous government's plan. Reddy accused the BRS of halting project works and not commencing distributary channels, despite the project's potential to irrigate over 12.3 lakh acres in drought-prone districts. The project's estimated cost has escalated significantly.
