
Bhadra waters will be released for summer cultivation starting January 3 for the left bank canal and January 8 for the right bank canal. The decision, made by the Bhadra Command Area Development Authority's Irrigation Consultative Committee, aims to meet agricultural needs for 120 days. Minister Madhu Bangarappa chaired the meeting and instructed engineers to prepare an action plan for silt removal in canals and tanks.
