The Bombay High Court questioned how two South Korean firms, NVH India Auto Parts and Sungwoo Hightech Pune, along with PHA India Private Ltd, obtained No Objection Certificates and factory licenses for illegal units in Pune. The companies admitted irregularities in construction and sought regularization, offering to pay charges and a deposit. The court allowed manufacturing to continue, citing the livelihood of approximately 1,200 workers, while demanding an investigation into the officials who granted the NOCs.
