The Lokpal has requested the Delhi High Court for a two-month extension to reconsider granting the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) sanction to file a charge sheet against Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra in the alleged cash-for-query case. The court had earlier set aside the Lokpal's November sanction order, citing procedural errors, and directed a fresh decision within one month. Moitra denies the allegations of accepting money and favors to ask parliamentary questions, which businessman Darshan Hiranandani has corroborated.
