Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan suggested that every Indian should learn a South Indian language, stating his own intention to learn one. Speaking at an Isha Foundation event on sustainable tree-based agriculture, he also expressed support for promoting these practices for ecological restoration and farmer prosperity. Spiritual leader Jaggi Vasudev, present at the event, advocated for liberating farmers from government controls and removing barriers to selling trees grown on their land.
