SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal criticized the move as a "back-door attempt" to seize village land and burden residents with taxes without basic facilities. MC Commissioner Aaditya Dachalwal stated the proposal is preliminary and will take approximately two years to complete, involving surveys and objections.
