A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has interrogated former Devaswom Minister Kadakampally Surendran and former Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) president PS Prasanth as part of the Sabarimala gold heist probe. Surendran's statement was recorded based on that of former TDB president A Padmakumar. Surendran stated the TDB independently decided to strip gold-plated sheets from artifacts for electroplating, while the Devaswom Department handled policy. Congress leader K Muraleedharan criticized the SIT's secret interrogation methods, demanding more transparency.
