In Nashik, the upcoming Municipal Corporation elections are set for a triangular contest. The BJP has decided to contest independently, citing confidence in winning on its own and a large number of internal aspirants. Consequently, its former allies, the Shiv Sena and NCP, have formed an alliance to contest together. The Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), comprising Shiv Sena (UBT), NCP (SP), Congress, and MNS, is also preparing to fight as a united front. Seat-sharing negotiations are ongoing within these alliances.
