The Uttar Pradesh government has approved six new North-South road corridors spanning over 2,300 km to enhance connectivity across more than 20 districts. These corridors, including a 262 km route from Shrawasti to Prayagraj via Ayodhya and Sultanpur, aim to link northern and southern regions, intersecting existing expressways like Purvanchal and Vindhyan. The Public Works Department plans phased construction, targeting completion within two years, with some stretches already functional and others proposed under upcoming work plans.
