
A junior auditor deployed for the Mumbai civic elections in Chembur has been suspended by the BMC administration. The suspension follows allegations of demanding a bribe during the scrutiny of a nomination form. Additional Municipal Commissioner Ashwini Joshi ordered the immediate suspension after a prima facie investigation found serious misconduct that obstructed the election process. The BMC stated its commitment to fair and transparent elections and assured strict action against any employee hindering the process.
