
Union Health Minister J P Nadda informed the Rajya Sabha that Rs 572.66 crore has been released to Punjab under the National Health Mission for the 2025-26 fiscal year. These funds aim to upgrade sub-health and primary health centres to provide 12 basic healthcare service packages, including reproductive, child, communicable, and non-communicable diseases. The government also supports initiatives like Janani Suraksha Yojana and National Tuberculosis Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan to improve maternal, child, and disease control services in the state.
