Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) fighters have agreed to withdraw from Aleppo's Sheikh Maqsud and Ashrafiyeh neighborhoods following a ceasefire. The agreement, mediated by international parties including the United States, allows for the evacuation of fighters, the wounded, and civilians. This withdrawal follows several days of deadly clashes that erupted after talks to integrate Kurdish authorities into the new administration broke down. Syrian state media reported the last batches of fighters departing by bus towards northeastern Syria, with the governor stating the city is now empty of SDF fighters.
