Security Forces Arrest Five Militants, Seize Arms and Explosives in Manipur

Security forces in Manipur arrested five individuals linked to various banned militant groups during operations conducted between March 5 and 6, 2026. The arrests included cadres from NRFM, UNLF-Pambei, PREPAK, and PLA. Authorities seized weapons such as an HK-33 rifle, a 9 mm pistol, ammunition, three improvised explosive devices, and other items. These actions occurred amid the Yaoshang festival, with police recovering arms based on disclosures from the detainees.
