A journalist and cameraman from Global TV News reported being attacked and held hostage by supporters of TMC MLA Humayun Kabir while covering the construction of a Babri Masjid replica in Murshidabad, West Bengal. The attackers allegedly snatched equipment worth ₹4 lakh. Police rescued the journalists, but they left without their belongings. The BJP accused the West Bengal Police of inaction during the incident.
