Delhi Officials Designated for Electoral Roll Revision Ahead of April 2026 SIR

The Election Commission of India has designated additional district magistrates and sub-divisional magistrates as electoral registration officers for Delhi's 70 assembly constituencies ahead of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, expected to start in April 2026. Preparations include mapping 2025 voter data against 2002 records, printing necessary forms, and exempting thousands of officials from Census 2027 duties. However, the Delhi CEO's office has expressed concern over slow progress, urging government departments to ensure Booth Level Officers can dedicate sufficient time to fieldwork.
