Tripura Assembly Speaker Biswa Bandhu Sen passed away at the age of 70 on Friday. He had been hospitalized since August following a brain hemorrhage. Sen, a four-time lawmaker who previously served in the Congress before joining the BJP, was elected Speaker in 2023. Chief Minister Manik Saha described his death as an irreplaceable loss for the state.
