Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin is set to visit China from Sunday to Thursday, marking the first trip by an Irish leader since 2012. During his visit, Martin will meet with President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang in Beijing, and also travel to Shanghai. The visit occurs as China seeks to strengthen its relationships with individual European Union member states.
