The Delhi government has approved two major road projects to improve connectivity and reduce congestion. The Barapullah Phase-III elevated corridor, costing over Rs 1,635 crore, will extend from Sarai Kale Khan to Mayur Vihar, providing signal-free travel to AIIMS. Additionally, a Rs 1,471 crore six-lane elevated corridor with underpasses on Mehrauli-Badarpur Road will be constructed in two phases. Both projects aim to ease traffic around key areas and are targeted for completion by June 2026. The government has also initiated an investigation into previous delays in the Barapullah project.
