Aditya Sahu, Rajya Sabha MP and former Jharkhand BJP working president, was unanimously elected as the new president of the Jharkhand BJP, replacing former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi. The organisational election saw Sahu as the sole candidate, with Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram officially announcing his appointment.
