Nagaland Governor Reviews Progress on Dimapur-Kohima Railway and Station Redevelopment
Nagaland Governor Nand Kishore Yadav reviewed the progress of the 78.42 km Dhansiri-Zubza (Dimapur-Kohima) railway project and the integrated redevelopment of Dimapur railway station. Two sections—Dhansiri-Shokhuvi and Shokhuvi-Molvom—have been commissioned, while work continues on remaining stretches despite challenges like difficult terrain, monsoon rains, and tunnel construction issues. The project aims to connect Kohima district by rail for the first time, with station redevelopment expected to complete by July 2028.
