
Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh allocated portfolios to his council of ministers a month after taking oath on February 4, 2024. Singh retained charge of eight departments and oversees unassigned ones. Deputy Chief Ministers Nemcha Kipgen and Losii Dikho received two departments each, including Rural Development, Tribal Affairs, Public Health Engineering, and Forests. Other ministers were assigned Home, Youth Affairs, Arts, Culture, and Tourism. The allocations followed the revocation of President's Rule imposed after former CM N Biren Singh's resignation in February.
