Maharashtra Announces February 5 Polls for 12 Zilla Parishads and 125 Panchayat Samitis

The Maharashtra State Election Commission (SEC) announced that elections for 12 Zilla Parishads and 125 Panchayat Samitis will be held on February 5, 2026, with vote counting on February 7. The polls cover 731 Zilla Parishad seats and 1,462 Panchayat Samiti seats across districts including Raigad, Pune, and Latur. Nomination filing will be offline from January 16 to 18, with the voter list as of July 1, 2025, used. Electronic voting machines will be deployed at over 25,000 polling stations, and the Model Code of Conduct is in effect.
