Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma stated that seat-sharing negotiations between the BJP and its ally, the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP), are progressing smoothly with no disagreements. He clarified that Union Home Minister Amit Shah's upcoming visit to Assam on December 29 will not involve formal political talks on seat-sharing. Sarma indicated that such high-level discussions would only occur if the alliance partners fail to reach a consensus internally.
