29 Maoists Surrender in Chhattisgarh's Sukma Under Rehabilitation Initiative

Twenty-nine Maoist cadres, including leader Podiam Budhra with a 2 lakh reward, surrendered to police and CRPF officials in Sukma, Chhattisgarh, under the government's 'Poona Margem' rehabilitation initiative. The recent establishment of a security camp in Gogunda intensified anti-Maoist operations, weakening the Maoists' stronghold in the region. This follows earlier surrenders in nearby districts, with over 1,500 Maoists reportedly surrendering across Chhattisgarh in 2025. The Centre aims to eliminate Maoism by March 31.
