Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Officials to Discuss River Water Management and PNLP on January 30

The Ministry of Jal Shakti has convened a committee meeting on January 30 in New Delhi to discuss water management issues between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, including the Polavaram-Nallamalasagar Link Project (PNLP). Telangana has requested the Ministry to direct Andhra Pradesh to halt construction and detailed project report preparation for PNLP, citing non-compliance with Central Water Commission guidelines. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana officials will present their concerns, with inputs from river management boards and experts to facilitate discussions.
