Andhra Pradesh Tourism Minister Kandula Durgesh stated the government is open to facilitating international-scale theme parks, such as Disney World or Universal Studios, which require investments between Rs 35,000 crore and Rs 60,000 crore. While such projects are typically developed by private firms, the government offers land, permits, and incentives including subsidies and tax reimbursements. The minister noted that viability depends on tourist footfall and spending capacity, which are currently lower in India but expected to grow. Interest from existing Indian amusement park operators has been expressed for locations like Tirupati and Visakhapatnam.
