Dr. P. Srihari has been appointed Director of the Defence Research and Development Organisation's Research Centre Imarat (RCI) in Hyderabad. A mechanical engineering graduate from Nagarjuna University, he holds a master's from PSG College of Technology and a Ph.D. from Osmania University. Since joining DRDO in 1992, Srihari has contributed to radar and missile systems, including the Multi-Mode Radar for the Light Combat Aircraft, Divert and Attitude Control System for interceptor missiles, and India's Anti-Satellite mission. He also led the Medium-Range Surface-to-Air Missile project in collaboration with Israel Aerospace Industries.
