The Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA), led by Chief Commissioner M. Maheshwar Rao, has directed all five corporations to appoint legal officers to file criminal cases against illegal advertisements following resident complaints at a public meeting in Malleswaram. The GBA is also enforcing the removal of unauthorized hoardings and banners in the West zone, with a focus on speeding up infrastructure projects like road, footpath, and drainage works by an April-end deadline. Residents raised concerns about animal cruelty, footpath encroachments, and governance issues during the meeting.
