
The Nishad Party, allied with the BJP in Uttar Pradesh, will launch its 2027 assembly election campaign with rallies starting March 22 in Gorakhpur, followed by events across Purvanchal and western UP, including Meerut. Led by party chief and state minister Sanjay Nishad, the campaign aims to consolidate the Nishad community vote and allied castes, emphasizing demands such as Scheduled Caste reservation for certain sub-castes and restoration of traditional riverine rights.
