Election Commission Orders Transfer of Officials in Kerala Ahead of April Assembly Polls

The Election Commission of India has ordered the immediate transfer and posting of several IAS and IPS officers in Kerala as part of preparations for the April 9 Assembly elections. Key appointments include Narayanan as District Police Chief of Kozhikode, Thomson Jose as Deputy Inspector General of Police for Thrissur Range, and Inbasekhar as District Collector-cum-District Election Officer of Alappuzha. The Commission directed that transferred officers not be assigned election duties until the polls conclude and requested a compliance report by March 18.
