Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) employees and officers are undergoing mandatory training from December 27-29 for the upcoming 2026 general elections. TMC Commissioner Saurabh Rao has warned that any employee absent from the training will face disciplinary action and potentially a criminal case. The training covers the voting process, EVM handling, and code of conduct, aiming for a smooth and transparent election involving over 10,000 staff at 2,013 polling stations.
