A. Amalraj, an Indian Police Service officer from the 1996 batch, has been appointed as the new Commissioner of Police for Tambaram. He succeeds Abhin Dinesh Modak, who has been transferred. Dr. Amalraj brings extensive experience from previous roles as Commissioner in Salem, Coimbatore, and Tiruchi, where he implemented CCTV networks that reportedly reduced crime by 40%. He has also received several prestigious awards for his service.
