VB-G RAM G Act Introduced to Modernize Rural Employment and Ensure Livelihood Security

The VB-G RAM G Act, introduced as a successor to MGNREGA, aims to guarantee 125 days of rural employment, timely wages, and secure livelihoods while addressing previous scheme shortcomings. Leaders like Arunachal Pradesh's Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein and Haryana Chief Minister Saini highlight its focus on sustainable asset creation, decentralised planning through gram sabhas, and enhanced transparency. The Act seeks to modernise rural employment, improve accountability, and uphold the dignity of labour amid concerns over past issues such as delayed payments and corruption.
