The Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) will contest the upcoming Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) elections independently after alliance talks with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) failed over seat-sharing disagreements. The party has fielded 110 candidates for the PMC polls and will also contest the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation elections alone. Shiv Sena plans to release a manifesto outlining a five-year development plan for Pune, with its campaign set to begin with a temple visit.
