Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu unveiled a 58-foot bronze statue of freedom fighter Potti Sriramulu in Amaravati on March 16, marking the 125th birth anniversary of the leader. The statue, constructed in six months at an estimated cost of Rs 150 crore, is part of a memorial project on 6.8 acres that will include a museum and skill development centre. Naidu paid tribute to Sriramulu's sacrifice for a separate Telugu state and participated in a state-organized Iftar dinner in Vijayawada.
