Officials removed political banners and posters in Chennai and other areas, while monitoring teams, including flying squads and surveillance units, were deployed with GPS-fitted vehicles to enforce election regulations. In Madurai, election officials seized Rs 2 lakh in unaccounted cash during vehicle inspections. Authorities in Vellore and Chennai have also intensified vigilance to ensure a free and fair election process.
