Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit Assumes Role as Vice Chief of Air Staff
Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit assumed charge as the Vice Chief of the Air Staff on July 1, succeeding Air Marshal Nagesh Kapoor, who retired after four decades of service. Dixit, a seasoned pilot with over 3,300 flying hours, previously served as Chief of Integrated Defence Staff from May to June 2025. His tenure included key roles in Operation Sindoor, joint military doctrines, and initiatives like Ran Samwad and Defence Forces Vision 2047, aimed at enhancing tri-service integration and future military readiness.
