The Tamil Nadu government has promoted three senior IPS officers from the 1995 batch to the rank of Director General of Police (DGP). S. Davidson Devasirvatham, Sandeep Mittal, and B. Bala Naga Devi were elevated to DGP, heading Armed Police, Cyber Crime Wing, and Economic Offences Wing respectively. Several other IPS officers were also transferred and posted to new roles across the state, including new ADGPs for Prisons, Law and Order, and EBCID.
