Himachal Pradesh Industries Minister Harshwardhan Chauhan has directed the Himachal Pradesh General Industries Corporation (HPGIC) to use its profits for upgrading manufacturing plants. The HPGIC board approved a tender for new machinery to modernize furniture factories and meet demand. The corporation reported a profit of Rs 13.37 crore and approved CSR spending of Rs 1.38 crore for police vehicles for an anti-drug campaign and Rs 17.65 lakhs for a primary school building.
